Elementary School Principal's Message

Greetings from Mrs. Clemons!

I am incredibly honored and excited to serve as the new Principal of Tri-Township Elementary. As a lifelong resident of this community, Tri-Township has always felt like a second home to me. I attended school here as a student, as did my father, sisters, husband and both of my children. Our connection to this school runs deep—it’s not just a place to work but a place that has helped shape me and my family. It holds a special place in our hearts and truly represents a proud family tradition. My hope is that every family in our community can feel like this is home to them as well.

We will try to instill those same feelings of belonging, connection and pride in our school—for generations to come. Here’s a little about me. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in a variety of roles within our district. I spent the majority of my teaching years in elementary classrooms, teaching multiple grade levels. That was followed by several years teaching Reading and Language Arts at the middle school level. Most recently, I served as Dean of Students, and I’ve also had the joy of supporting our student-athletes as the Middle School Athletic Director. Cheering on the Tigers and watching our student-athletes grow through sports has been one of the many highlights of my career. Outside of school, I stay involved by serving on several community organizations and committees throughout LaPorte and Porter counties. And in my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling and—most of all—spending time with my family, especially my sweet grandson!

As we begin this school year, my hope is to inspire our Tri-Township family. I look forward to a year filled with learning and growth, while striving for excellence. Together, let’s work hard, keep growing academically and socially, and support one another every step of the way. I’m proud to be part of this amazing Tri-Township family and community.

GO TIGERS!
